About Us

Of all the things on your “to do” list, you can forget remembering all the complex things that go with today's benefit programs.

Gary G. Oetgen Agency was initially incorporated in 1992 by Gary Oetgen. Our roots are a local/regional firm offering insurance to individuals and small businesses. In the 1990′s, Gary Oetgen became heavily involved in group benefits in the fully insured market.

In 2006, Gary Oetgen joined United Benefit Advisors (UBA), a partnership of the nation’s premier independent benefit advisory firms. Collectively, UBA partner firms provide best-in-class benefit products, consulting and brokerage services to over 36,000 employers. The partnership represents nearly 5.4 million members and generates $16.5 billion in annual employee benefit expenditures.

As a UBA partner, Gary G. Oetgen Agency can bring to our accounts access to a wide variety of proprietary tools and services and the accumulated wisdom of over 2,000 industry professionals. Among these services are access to Employment Law and ERISA attorneys, HIPAA compliance tools, Human Resources audit and consulting and proprietary Internet and Human Resources technology. This unique partnership offers Gary G. Oetgen Agency the best of both worlds in the benefits consulting arena.

We combine the flexibility and personalized service of a local Agency with the strength and resources of a national firm.

Additional administrative support staff has varied qualifications: 27 year Life and Health insurance licensee overseeing individual plans/general administrative support and vast background in information technology.

We’ll assist with these…and more:

  • Customized benefit designs to meet your particular needs.
  • Appeals for claim denials for erroneously processed claims.
  • Medical bill tracking on an Excel spreadsheet simplifies even complex multiple claims.
  • Requests for prior approval for in-network benefits, for treatment at an out-of-network facility, when medically necessary.

14 Day Status Guarantee

Once an insured forwards a claim for our handling, we follow the proceedings closely, notifying our clients every 14 days of the progress that has been made. This continues until final resolution of the claim.

On Site Staff Seminars

We come to your facility and conduct training for appropriate staff members to ensure full understanding of the coverages and procedures. When plan changes occur, we return for further training.

Annual Shopping of Rates and Coverages

We understand that no one has time nor the expertise to adequately shop insurance rates and changing coverages. As an independent broker, we conduct a yearly analysis of the changing rate and coverage structures for a number of leading companies and make appropriate changes to secure only the best value for our clients.

Web-Based Benefit Management Tools

We offer on site training on the utilization of carrier specific plan administration tools. In addition, we offer our clients an online Employee Benefit Center, where employees may view their benefits, download forms, utilize financial calculators, and access employee handbooks & newsletters.
